The OSRTC will run a dedicated bus service connecting Puri, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, and Berhampur between January 13 and February 26.
In anticipation of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, the Odisha government will launch a special bus service connecting four cities and towns in the state to Ayodhya, passing through Varanasi and Prayagraj.
The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) will operate this service from Puri, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, and Berhampur, running from January 13 to February 26. These buses are designed for optimal passenger comfort, featuring high-end amenities, including both sleeper and seater options, mobile charging ports, and generous legroom for a relaxing experience.
OSRTC sources highlighted that the buses are equipped with advanced features like infotainment systems, a long wheelbase for stability, a state-of-the-art fire protection system, live vehicle tracking, emergency panic buttons, and an enhanced driver assistance system for safety.
The fares for these premium services have been set at reasonable rates to ensure they are accessible to a wide range of passengers, encouraging tourism. Travelers can reserve their tickets in advance through the OSRTC website (osrtc.org), mobile app, or by visiting the nearest OSRTC ticket counter.
To ensure seamless travel, a dedicated 24/7 helpdesk with a toll-free number (1800-345-1122) will be available at the OSRTC headquarters and in Ayodhya to address any inquiries or issues that passengers may have.
